Fitting a custom fuel cap

We have had a few enquiries about fitting a new fuel/gas cap so we thought it might help to show you how easy it is. Unscrew your old cap and you will notice a large circlip inside the cap.

Preferably using a pair of circlip pliers (but a pair of long nose pliers that will fit into the circlip holes will be ok), gently squeeze and remove the circlip.

Replace the old cap with your custom cap making sure the spring and plastic cap insert position correctly, then simply replace the circlip, the reverse of removal.

And your finished. Just make 100% sure the circlip is sitting correctly in its groove inside the new cap. You don't want anything to fall into the fuel tank!
